The Sewing Bee is back with brand new host Joe Lycett for 8 weeks of brainteasing patterns, spectacular transformations and stunning made to measure outfits.

In "The Great British Sewing Bee", ten amateur seamstresses and tailors take on a competition where talent, creativity, and precision are put to the test. Under the expert eyes of Patrick Grant and Esme Young, each episode challenges them with both technical and artistic trials, from recreating a meticulously tailored Dior-inspired dress to boldly transforming recycled garments. Sewing becomes an art of adaptation and innovation, where every stitch matters. From period gowns to perfectly fitted jackets and elegant evening wear, they must prove their mastery of fabrics and techniques from around the world. Who will impress the judges, and who will have to pack away their sewing kit before reaching the grand finale?

From the first challenge to the final showdown, the tension builds with each round. Contestants push their limits, handling complex materials, daring bold cuts, and reinterpreting iconic styles. Seventies fashion, Japanese haute couture, and British tailoring all serve as inspiration for their creations.
