Nikki leaves Phnom Penh to explore the lesser-known trails around Mondol Kiri and Kampot to get a better sense of their particularities. Mondol Kiri is a province of Cambodia that is called the "Switzerland of Cambodia" because of its spruce hills. Kampot is a city crossed by the Preaek Tuek Chhu River in the south of Cambodia. It is famous for its pepper plantations and salt marshes.
