For more than two decades, Japanese surfer Tsuyoshi Takahashi has played a role in championing the dreams of the Filipino surfers in La Union, Philippines. Upon deciding to call the town his home many years ago, he made it his mission to provide surfboards and share his knowledge and skills as an athlete with the local surfers. He also became instrumental in bringing them to international competitions and raising the Philippine flag on the global surfing stage. Tsuyoshi’s life story in La Union is a representation of how one can use his talent and passion to uplift the lives of others.
