Can a dog really sense impending death? Scamp, a pet miniature Schnauzer owned by staff member Adeline Baker from The Pines nursing home in Canton, Ohio raises the alarm when he senses that one of the seniors is about to pass on. He’ll bark and pace around the room and won’t leave the person’s bedside. He has seemingly predicted no fewer than 40 deaths that have occurred at the home. The nurses believe he offers comfort to the residents and allows family members a chance to say goodbye before it’s too late. We visit the nursing home to find out about Scamps capabilities.
